Champions League - Group Stage
Young Boys Bern hasn't lost at home for 7 months! The last time was in March against Ajax (0:2) in the Europa League semi-final. In the first match of this group, they managed to surprise Manchester United by taking advantage of a powerplay after a red card for defender Wan-Bissako to turn the match around. In Bergamo, they were lucky to lose only 1-0. A solid start to this year's competition. The team is missing Cameroonian forward J.P. Nsame, who was scoring a lot of goals. Fortunately, he is replaced by midfielder Fassnacht (8/6 in the league) and other offensive players. Coach David Wagner, who previously managed Schalke 04, can be happy especially with the productivity (2.67 goals per game).
Villarreal drew in Bergamo (2:2) and in the last round fell in Manchester with a goal from the very end. They are currently 12th in the league with a 2-5-1 score. That's certainly nothing impressive. Earlier this month, defender Serge Aurier joined the club after being out of contract for a month. Their last league game was on Sunday and they lost at home to Osasuna.
The power of Young Boys Bern at home stadium will decide and will not lose.
My bet:
Double Chance: Young Boys or Draw @ 1.61 (bet365)
