ATP - SINGLES: Atlanta (USA), hard - 1/16-finals
It's been a while since Paire (32y., ATP: 49.) changed coaches and it's clear he's enjoying tennis again. So any results he has this year are completely irrelevant because he has the qualities to play even matches with the best.
He'll be playing a Japanese player Uchiyama (28y., ATP: 120.) who has been completely tragic the last two seasons. Last season 5/13, this season 6/17.
Paire should win here. He'll surely have it in his head that this is now the tournament with the biggest prize money and he won't want to drop out in the first round when he's got such a nice draw. The qualities are clearly on his side, he's been confident in his last few matches.
H2H: Last 5 matches:
Uchiyama - 1 W / 4 L
Paire - 3 W / 2 L
My bet:
Benoit Paire @ 1.69 (local bookie)
