Winnipeg has lifted a huge burden off itself. After five defeats, they finally won. It was under unlikely terms. The third game in four days, in different locations and with a flight across the US-Canadian border. The Jets could have had every excuse to lose on Saturday on the ice of upstart Calgary (who had won the previous 4 games by a staggering 19-4!). But Winnipeg won, despite being down 0-2. They turned the score around with four goals. It was a classic blowout win that has an unprecedented impact on the team's mentality. Nobody expected Jets to make it, but they did. They may have been tired from traveling, but they put it behind them. This team is incredibly talented, and when they only score five goals in five games, it goes to the players' heads. It was just a mental brake. Winning in Calgary has to kick Winnipeg off and there is no more ideal next opponent than a weak Arizona. An invigorated Winnipeg should make it look smooth with the Coyotes.
