West Ham are just doing well on their home pitch. The Hammers fans drive their charges forward so that if West Ham happen to lose at home, it's never by more than a goal (they even managed to set a record for this). West Ham last lost away to a well playing Arsenal in the PL and that was still after a controversial red card for Coufal. They also failed last time in a draw with Burnley, who are known for their defensive style under Sean Dytch. Thanks to the EFL game, the suspended Coufal can start the next game, so West Ham will only miss (without the long term injured) the ill Antonio, who hasn't been performing well now. I believe West Ham will want to pick up points, especially at home, to stay in the top 6.
Southampton's performances so far this season remain below expectations. The team from the south coast of England did not disappoint, but if it wasn't for the much talked about shooting woes, their position in the table could have been much better. But "if" is not the way to play and Saints have not won six times in a row (0-3-3), conceding at least two goals in five of them. Last time they were helped to a point by a hilarious four minutes at Crystal Palace, when they scored twice, but a conceded goal after an hour of play robbed them of the win. The visitors won't have much chance of success here either.
If we take into account the games against each other, West Ham have won their last 4 home games by at least 2 goals.
My bet:
