The teams have the same number of 10 points after 8 qualifying matches and have very similar scores, but the fight for qualification to the World Cup is no longer on their minds. The last 2 matches are left to be played before the end of the qualification and the first and the second place in the group is taken by Russia and Croatia with an unbeatable lead and they will fight it out for direct qualification.
The fact that this match is not about much is rather advantageous for this bet - the teams don't have to play any tactical game and it doesn't have to be so much about defence. After all, the teams met quite recently in their first game in Slovenia - it was in September and it ended in a 1-1 draw, with both goals coming in the first half. Slovakia took the lead in the 32nd minute, but their opponent equalised in the 42nd minute to make it 1:1.
In the last qualification match, Slovakia played a 2-2 draw in Croatia and showed that they can cope with relatively stronger opponents. Slovenia lost 1:2 at home to Russia in the last qualifying match and again it was a more goal-oriented match.
My prediction: Over 1.5 Goals @ 1.58
