Premier League
In today's New Year's Day analysis, we take a look at the English Premier League match between home side Watford and their London opponents Tottenham Hotspur.
As a newcomer to the Premier League, Watford are 17th with 13 points and a score of 22:35, which means 3.4 goals per game. In 18 games of the current season, they have crossed the 2.5 goal mark 10 times.
Spurs are currently 7th in the table with 31 points with a 22:20 score, which is an average of 2.3 goals per game. In their 18 games so far, they have gone over 2.5 goal mark in 10 occasions.
I decided to bet on 3 goals in the match mainly based on the current form of both teams (last 5 matches). Watford has from last 5 matches score 6:15 = 21 goals, that's an average of 4.2 goals per game. Tottenham, on the other hand, have scored 11 goals in their last 5 games, which is an average of 2.2 goals scored per game.
Both teams have a lot to rely on offensively. On Watford's side it will be Emmanuel Dennis (8+5), Joshua King (5+3) or Sarr (5 goals). Tottenham will rely on the qualities of striker Kane (11+2), Son (9+3) or Lucas Moura (5+6).
Today I expect both teams to score, with Tottenham adding something more.
My bet:
Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.66 (bet365)
