19.11.21 - 17:30 CET
Czech Extraliga
Vitkovice first had a streak of four wins, but then came a streak of four losses. The last time at home with Plzen 2:3, goals were scored by Lukáš Krenželok and returnee Dominik Lakatoš, but it was still not enough and Michal Bulíř decided the victory of Plzen. Overall, goalie Ales Stezk can't be blamed, but the biggest weakness of Vitkovice so far is clearly the offense, which has scored only 35 goals (the fewest in the league), averaging less than two goals per game.
Sparta lost eight times in a row and the management decided to make changes, which last time led to a 5:2 win over Kometa Brno. Coach Miroslav Hořava returned to the team from the capital and the Prague team also strengthened its squad (Maxim Matuškin, Jakub Strnad and returning goalie Matěj Machovský). In addition, a lot of players like Alexander Salák, Vladimir Sobotka and David Vitouch have recovered. They also played their last Champions League game, which Sparta won 3:1 against Sweden's Skellefteåa and will have a two-goal lead in the rematch at home. Erik Thorell is playing very well and he is the most productive player in the competition with 11+20.
Sparta was going through a crisis for a long time, but the last games in Extraliga and Champions League showed a big improvement. Sparta could take three points on the ice of Vítkovice, they managed to beat them four times in a row.
My bet:
Sparta Prague to win to decision @ 1.62 (bet365)
