Manchester flew to Spain with a new coach. Michael Carrick, the former great midfielder, will lead the team until the management finds another interim coach. The reason for the change was (not only) the weekend loss at Watford (1:4), which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could no longer stand. So we can expect changes in the line-up and most importantly a rapidly improved performance. As it is the case under the new coach, the players will want to prove that they deserve to be in the squad.

Villarreal, on the other hand, have gone 3 games without defeat, but are only 13th in the league and are missing their great striker Moreno for a long time. The Devils will miss defender Varane and midfielder Pogba. Both due to injuries and the weekend's game was also missed by the talented Greenwood, who tested positive for Covid. As far as the group is concerned, both teams are on top with seven points. Atalanta Bergamo are close behind with five points. So there's no time to lose points. United will work hard and score at least two goals, as they did in the first game at Old Trafford.

I'm looking forward to squad announcement! I'm afraid Michael Carrick will choose very cautious style of play as points in this game are the golden ones. Really can't imagine how Man United will line up today, but I would like to see Sancho again, he seemed more confident against Watford, despite huge defeat, putting in some dangerous crosses.

And of course Donny van de Beek!!!!!

Again, I found interesting bet on corners here, interesting odds for me to be correct.

Man United, as mentioned, as the whole football world knows, will perform under "new" manager and another MU legend Michael Carrick, I won't predict his playstyle or lineup, but do you remember Ole's first games? Whole squad switched to god mode in the start, gaining Ole contract extension and the rest is (not so succesful) history.

This is UEFA Champions League, this is Ronaldo's kingdom and this is the match where the most important points could be won.

I expect the highest motivation and with Mr. Champions League in front, they need to fight for points and their squad has the quality, it just need to be squeezed!

BUT... it's too early to think about new strong United, I will go for their team corners as I won't have to be afraid about United bottling the start of the game again. They are crazy this year! Everybody must be surprised when United hit the first goal in their games!

Maybe the first match helped the odds (4-4 cornes at Old Trafford) and I definitely try 5 United corners in this match. Villarreal must feel the pressure in the table, clearing some United chances for corner kicks could be a good deal for them.

WTF I absolutely don’t know what to think about it, Carrick will be genius or a fool from match one. Everyone has to appreciate VDB in, but it does cost Bruno his place I hope Telles will have a good match, he deserves his chance. But in the end NO result will surprise me, this could go goalish as I don’t believe Man Utd will be defensively prepared better than in other matches this season. Of course I believe Man United will score against Yellow Submarine.
