After just two weeks of Xavi at the helm, it is incredible to feel the huge new impetus he has brought to the club. He has won the league match and drawn the Champions League match with Benfica. I dare say Barcelona played very well in that game - even though they survived Seferovic's million percent chance at the end, I liked their play. Unfortunately, the problem is in the endgame, which is a big problem and they will definitely be looking for a striker-finisher in the winter. Anyway, I have a good feeling about Barcelona from Xavi's first two games as coach and you can see that it could work.
In the third match, Barcelona will face Villarreal away, a very unpleasant opponent seasoned in European cups. Anyway, they are not doing well in the league this season. They are currently occupying only twelfth place and clearly cannot reconcile the league with the demanding Champions League schedule. Last time they beat Getafe 1-0 at home, but before that they drew 3-3 at home with Cadiz and lost 1-2 to Osasuna.
I believe that the home team will not add a win on Saturday night. Dembele could start in a Barca jersey from the beginning, he was incredibly lively when he came on against Benfica and if his health holds, he could be one of Barcelona's driving forces. It is Dembele who could be one of the factors speaking for our bet. Moreover, Barca's losses in the league have been enough and if they want to keep up with the top, they need to pick up points and not just at home.
I expect a tough fight, but I also believe that Barca will come into the game responsible and motivated to win their second league game under El Maestro. Combined with the home side's league discomfort, that should be enough for our bet.
My bet:
Draw No Bet: Barcelona @ 1.83 (bet365)
