Hellas Verona, with 16 points, calmly settled in the middle of the table and before the national break, when they surprised leaders Napoli by taking a point from their stadium for a 1-1 draw. Verona became the first team this season to get a point against Napoli. Unsurprisingly, the goal was scored by Giovanni Simeone, who is the league's second top scorer with 9 goals, all of which were scored under coach Tudor. Verona have won four games in a row at home, including the last two duels with Juventus (2:1) and Lazio (4:1), in which Simeone has scored all six goals, and will be the home favourites against newcomer Empoli.
But Empoli team is also not doing badly (5-1-6) and has even won four of five away games. This incredible score started on Juventus' soil and continued most recently at Sassuolo, where Empoli turned the result around in the final ten minutes.
However, the revival that has met Verona is stronger, as evidenced by the 25 goals scored, the joint third best performance of all teams. Sixteen of them were scored at home, where Verona will win this time too.
