WTA - SINGLES: hard - Quarter-finals
Raducanu (18y.o.) is a tennis player from Great Britain and her score on hard surface is 15/3. She is ranked 150th in the WTA rankings.
She's been in quite good form over the last month, reaching the quarterfinals in Landisville where she had to retired and in Chicago she reached the final, which she lost to Tauson (78.). Here at the US Open she's also doing quite well, she's in the quarterfinals, but I have to point out that she hasn't had as difficult players as Bencic here, yes she beat Sorribes (41.) and Rogers (43.) and everything was falling for her but it just won't be as easy with Bencic.
Bencic (24y.o.) is a tennis player from Switzerland, her score on hard court is 20/7. She is ranked 12th in the WTA rankings.
It could be say she's playing really well this year. It started in Berlin on grass, where she reached the final, but there she lost after winning the first set. And then came the Olympic Games, where she won the gold medal. In Cincinnati she reached the quarterfinals with Teichmann (44.), where she unfortunately lost 2:0. Here at the US Open she is also doing very well, she had an easy start in the form of Rus and Trevisan, then came Pegula (25.) and Swiatek (8.), where she confirmed her great season, beating both 2-0.
Both Belinda Bencic and Emma Raducanu have dominated this year's tournament so far, entering the quarter-finals without losing a set but the teenager has never faced an opponent from the top 40 of the world rankings and with Bencic it will be a really different match.
Here I think Bencic won't have it as hard as everyone thinks, it will be a clear match in her favour again, I believe in her!
