CHALLENGER MEN - SINGLES: Prague 2 (Czech Republic), clay - 1/16-finals
This match will offer us a duel between Kazakh player Timofey Skatov (291) and Czech player Dalibor Svrcina (441).
Skatov is a 20-year-old youngster who has been playing in great form in recent months. At the challenger in Oeiras his journey ended in SF where he was beaten in 3 sets by Rune (ATP: 190.). At the next tournament in Almaty, he even made it to the final, but he didn't beat Bergs in a 3-set battle. In challengers in Italy, he played a CF in Perugia and in Trieste, where he beat Stricker, Giustino and Cobolii, but ended up in a SF against Etcheverry (ATP: 148.).
Svrcina is an 18 year old player, who is mainly playing ITF so far. He played SF in Prague and in Most he even took the title by defeating Agamenon (ATP: 335.) in the final. Next SF was played at M15 in Skopje. He has a very good clay court score this year (14/6), but he hasn't been very good at challengers yet. His best is QF from Prostejov.
Both young men are very talented and have excellent clay results, but Skatov is a bit older and more experienced and I expect him to win this match.
My bet:
Timofey Skatov @ 1.72 (bet365)
