EUROPE: World Cup - Qualification

The Swiss showed their great quality at the Euro, advancing out of the group and then knocking out France, then falling to Spain after penalty shootout.
Switzerland played two games in the qualification (3:1 Bulgaria and 1:0 Latvia) and they have two games less than Italy and since Italy lost points, the Swiss now have the group in their own hands, but they need to beat Italy, which is no easy. Due to injuries, Shaqiri and Embolo will be missing, Xhaka tested positive for covid and the Swiss will be missing three very important players.

Italy only drew with Bulgaria 1:1 and lost their first points against an opponent that was not expected. In case of a win against Switzerland, the Italians will be able to rest easy, but if Switzerland wins, there will be a risk that Italy will not win the group, which would certainly be a big disappointment. Of course, there is still a rematch and the Swiss may lose points to other opponents, but Italy won't want to rely on that. Especially since the Italians missed the last World Cup.

I trust the Italians in this match, mainly because of their incredible form in which they have played the last matches and the loss of three key players on Swiss side.

Italy draw with Switzerland in a World Cup qualifier. Thanks to the excellent Yann Sommer and his saved penalty, the fans in Basel did not see a goal. The new European champions have now stretched their unbeaten streak to an incredible 36 matches, which has never been done before.

So im not sure what i watched but. That wasnt the team that won the EURO. Not sure if they just wanted that unbeaten streak so bad. Giving balls away non stop. What a weird game that was. They need to step up and fast.
