Olympic Games - Handball - Quarter-finals
Spain and Sweden will face off in the quarter-finals. Spain has been performing well here, beating a strong Norway and Germany, who are playing in great form here. They just lost to the biggest favourite of the tournament, France.
Sweden doesn't show the quality they did at the World Championship in January. Winning by a goal against Bahrain, by 2 goals against Japan and by a goal against Portugal,that didn't generate much enthusiasm. Then they lost to Egypt by 5 goals. A win over Denmark would have made a lot of noise had it come earlier, as Denmark played just what they needed to keep top spot in the table.
