SWEDEN: Allsvenskan
The Swedish league is played in a spring/fall way and so in two weeks we will know the name of the new champion. Malmö, Djurgården, AIK Stockholm, Elfsborg and Hammarby. I wouldn't associate the latter Hammarby with the title anymore, as they are 6 points behind the current leader Malmö with 2 rounds to go. Competition leader Malmö didn't make it through the weekend, drawing 2:2 at home with Hacken, and now they have to rely on the mistakes of their main rivals from Djurgården.
Djurgården loses 2 points and so a win in Norrkoping will put them at the top of the table with a 1 point lead on the aforementioned Malmö, 3 points on AIK, 4 points on Elfsborg and Hammarby will be knocked out of contention for the title.
In this match I believe in a win for the visitors, as they play in Norrkoping, who practically had a bad season, as they are no longer playing for a place in the European Cups. The current seventh place is certainly disappointing and although they will certainly not finish worse, they can move up to a maximum of 4th place (no cups). Norrkoping can now theoretically try out players from their academy and slowly prepare for the new season.
Djurgården reports no absentees and so they will manage the match and move to the top of the table where they will stay until the end of the competition and win the title, as their remaining two matches in the current season will be against teams that are also only looking for a possible better position (Varbergs - home, Hacken - away) as well as Norrkoping. And so Djurgården will return to the Swedish throne after a year's hiatus, from which he will dethrone the reigning champion from the south of Sweden (Malmö).
In 2019, Djurgården played the last round coincidentally in Norrkoping, where they needed to grab at least a point for the title. After a messy first half with a 2-0 score for Norrkoping, the boys from Djurgården came out firing in the second half and the scoreboard read 2-2 at the final whistle, making them champions by 1 point ahead of their southern rivals, who they are also battling for the title this season.
Prediction:
Djurgården @ 2.20 (bet365)
