FRANCE: Ligue 1
Strasbourg last time brought home a valuable point from a 2-2 draw away at Nantes. Strasbourg were twice down but always managed to equalise, with the second time coming after Ludovic Ajorque was unluckily sent off. The missing of the 27-year-old French forward will be quite noticeable for Strasbourg, Ajorque has 5 goals and 5 assists. But coach Julien Stephan can rely on his teammate Habib Diallo, who has scored in 3 of the previous 4 league rounds and continues to climb up the scorers' table with 7 goals and also scored for the Senegalese national team against Togo during the national break.
Reims arrive at the Stade de la Meinau and are starting to struggle a bit with their results. Although the last goalless draw with Monaco can be taken as a good point gain, Reims has failed to win 5 games in a row and has always lost the lead in 3 of them. Osacar Garcia's players are also struggling at the finishing, the team's top scorer (4 goals) is only 19-year-old Hugo Ektike, for whom this is his second proper season in adult football (last year he was on a loan at Velje in Denmark). Eight other players have one goal each in Reims, so the team simply doesn't have much to rely on in terms of goals.
Strasbourg is playing very attractively at home this season and scoring a lot of goals (average 2.4 goals per game at home) and despite the absence of the productive Ajorque, I believe that they will be able to beat Reims and get three points.
My bet:
