Conference League
Slavia Prague is in a critical situation on the international scene. After three games in the Conference League, they have only three points and if they don't win on Thursday, they can practically say goodbye to promotion. A 14 days ago, Slavia lost in Haifa (0:1), and the Israeli team showed a quick switch to the offensive. Slavia may have been keep clean sheet in their last two league games, but appearances are deceiving. The defence didn't improve that much, only the game with Viktoria Plzen was affected by three red cards on Viktorka's side, while the game with Olomouc was decided by the fact that the visitors have been playing without a striker for a long time.
Against Haifa, the home defence will face a tougher test, which will be all the more demanding because of the huge absences from the Slavie defence. Stoppers Kacharaba and Ousou confirm that international level is something they are not up to yet. But the team has been consistently successful up front, especially at home stadium.
The Prague team won the first round 3:1 at home against Union Berlin, in the second round they fell 1:2 to Feyenoord and in the third round they lost 0:1 in Israel. Haifa played a decent draw with Feyenoord in the first round, in the second round they lost to Belin 3-0 and followed it up with a 1-0 win over Slavia.
