Banik's play is looking good to break Slavia's incredible streak, which currently stands at 49 league games without a lost.
Slavia is a favourite, they have a strong squad, experience, home field. However, in many ways it is not convincing as much as before but they are still 100% on points.
Around this match there will be another key battle for Europe with a relatively strong Legia, so we could expect that Slavia will rest some of their key players for example Stanciu, who hasn't rested yet.
Banik lost the first match of the season in Jablonec, but it was a good performance, which in the next rounds was translated into three-points profits after the results 5:1 and 2x 3:1. It's not just about results and a lot of goals, it's about the quality of play and the self confidence they are showing.
Slavia is still a huge favourite, but from my point of view Banik is playing the best football in the league at the beginning of the new season. If they take advantage of their great self-confidence, stay with their game and don't play with fear against Slavia, they have a chance to succeed.
Slavia's current form and the games against a strong Legia are not going to be easy against Banik Ostrava. Slavia is certainly not as much of a favorite as the odds suggest and I wouldn't be surprised if Banik end Slavia's league unbeatability.
