Torino is waiting for nothing on home soil. They have won three in a row in front of its fans, each time leading after the first half and always managing to score the opening goal in the first 15 minutes of the game. A similar story was true here three years ago, the last time these two teams met in Turin. Back then, the home side won 3-0 and led after the opening 45 minutes of play. This year, they were not only up against strong teams (Atalanta, Lazio, Juventus) and scored a total of 12 goals in the remaining four matches.
Draws are useless, said Empoli coach Aurelio Andreazzoli after his team brilliantly turned around a regional derby against Fiorentina in which they were still 0-1 down in the 86th minute. Apparently, it was not the first time this season that he said something similar, as his players have only drawn once in their 14 appearances so far (6-1-7) and sit comfortably in the middle of the table with 19 points.
Considering that I liked Torino's performance significantly more than Empoli's in recent weeks, I'm picking them to win.
