A 2-1 win at the ground of another newcomer to the competition, Venezia, gave Salernitana fans hope that things might not be so bad for their team. However, Ribéry and co. lost the next two rounds without scoring a single goal. A slight excuse for them may be the fact that they first had to face Napoli at home and then travelled to a tough duel at Lazio's ground. Salernitana have scored only ten goals so far, which is the least of all and if they are serious about fighting for survival, they need to improve especially from this point of view. The clash with Sampdoria could present an interesting opportunity for home team.
