The schedule of the ninth round of Serie A will be closed by the biggest Italian derby between home team Inter Milan and visiting Juventus. Both teams have the most fans in the whole country, but due to their geographical distribution it will be a bit of a north-south duel, as Juventus have their supporters mainly in the south of Italy.
A few weeks ago, it seemed that this duel would have a clear favourite - Inter. However, Milan club have lost points in two of the last three league rounds (a draw with Atalanta and a loss at Lazio), while Juventus have come on strong and have won six in a row, including the Champions League. In case of another success, they may even catch up to his great rival! The performance of the visitors is still not completely convincing, but four clean sheets in a row is no coincidence.
It's clear that coach Allegri has reestablished a strict order at the club and it almost seems as if he hasn't even left for previous years. Considering that the home side Inter, led by coach Inzaghi, practise an offensive style and has scored almost twice as many goals in the league as Juventus (23 vs. 12), this will clearly be a battle between the visiting defence and the home side's attack.
Interr fixed their taste by winning the Champions League match against Sheriff Tiraspol last week (3:1), which Shakhtar and Real Madrid have failed to do this year.
Juventus will be defending, but Inter have shown their strength several times this season by turning games around against good defences in the second halves, something they can take advantage of in this match.
