I favor Washington here. They're currently in third place in the East Division with 25 points. Their score is 58-39. They've won ten games this year and lost seven. They've beaten Buffalo, Detriot, Columbus and Arizona. On the other hand, the leaders of their groups, such as Florida, Anaheim or Tampa Bay, have beaten them. Still, they have a pretty strong squad. Ovechkin and Kuznetsov are pulling the whole team. They have 47 points together. They're playing some good hockey and shouldn't miss the playoffs this year.
Seattle Kraken. Newcomer to the competition. They're not doing well so far, tied for second worst place in NHL. They're only 15th in the Western Conference with nine points. Their score is 47-66 and they've only won four games out of seventeen. They are currently on a six-game losing streak and I think they will stretch it to seven. In their last game, they got beat 3-7 by Colorado and were already down 0-7.
Since Seattle is a new team to the competition, the two teams have not yet met. But I believe Washington will win comfortably and add two more points to the table. They have a better team and better confidence after the last few games.
