In their 300th Bundesliga match under head coach Christian Streich, Freiburg lost 1:2 to league leaders Bayern Munich and were the last team to go undefeated (6-4-1), but they can still be very happy with their most successful start to the top German competition ever. Freiburg have been unbeaten at home in the league in the last nine games (5-4-0) and will be looking to improve their record against Frankfurt, especially as they have lost only one of the previous nine meetings at home and have shared the points with Eintracht five times.
Frankfurt are looking to confirm their improved performance - they first won the Europa League against Olympiakos before the national break, thus advancing beyond the group stage (3-1-0), and then recorded their second league win in Fürth - but still have only a two-point lead on the promotion position.
Given that Freiburg have the best defence in the league (9), while the visitors have only scored more than one goal per game three times, it could be an interesting bet that no more than 2.5 goals will fall in total.
