ROMANIA: Liga 1
Sepsi made it to the European Cup for the first time, quickly dropping out from the Conference League. It is also making uncertain progress in the league. They won one game in the autumn, the opening game against Clinceni (2-0). Team is not playing well, is falling in the table and the club management reacted to the situation at the end of September. Coach Leo Grozavu, who had led Sepsi for almost two years, quit. The empty seat was filled by Italian coach Cristiano Bergodi, who has managed four Romanian clubs in the past seasons. Bergodi has so far won only a point and overall they have been waiting 11 rounds (0-7-4) for another win. Missing Damascan, Niñaj and Barbut.
Cluj didn't make it through the Conference League (Alkmaar 0-1), they haven't won yet and are last in the group. In the league, they are on a much firmer pace (10-0-2) to defend their title and are in the lead. In the autumn, they took full points on their stadium (Universitatea Craiova 1948 3-2, Targoviste 1-0, Farul Constanta 1-0, FCSB 4-1, Universitatea Craiova 1-0, Metan Medias 1-0). Burca and Hoban are missing, Chipciu is questionable.
