PSV have a fantastic start to the season this year, the only team in the league that hasn't lost a point. In the qualification to the Champions League, they beat Galatasaray twice (7:2 overall), then Midjylland twice (4:0), and then fell to Benfica (2:1).
It is certainly important to mention that they destroyed Ajax 4:0 in the Super Cup and won 0:3 away against Alkmaar in the last league round. Their attacking power is enormous, they scored 14 goals in 4 rounds in the league. There are several main players, the most famous is Zahavi and the youngsters Gakpo, Madueke and Boscagli. Van Ginkel and Götze are reinforcing their midfield.

Real Sociedad will face them. The team started with a 4:2 defeat to Barcelona and then have three wins with a clean sheet, but the opponents were very weak (Vallecano, Levante and Cadiz). In attack, they rely on the young duo of Isak-Oyarzabal. However, where I see a huge minus for this team is defending against a team that can attack. They showed it in the game against a weakened Barcelona, where they conceded 4 goals, and where they had to concentrate mainly on defence. PSV play a very stretched game with an aggressive style and a fast attacking game. Sociedad won't like that at all.

PSV's offensive qualities were confirmed in the last league round against Alkmaar, against whom PSV managed to create several scoring opportunities and convert three of them into goals. In the end, they won 3:0. The fact that PSV managed to score in all of their last 10 matches speaks for their offensive qualities.
Real Sociedad managed to win 3 of their first 4 league games. The last one was against Cadiz, Sociedad scored 2 goals and won 2-0.

Pretty insane game for the neutrals, but that was some of the worst defending from PSV I've seen lately. Schmidt really has to fix this because it's costing you too many points in Europe. There were chances to win this game but then again you could have lost it in the last few moments due to that brainfart moment of Borscagli. Not a bad result for PSV, I think Sociedad is the best opponent in the group. Monaco hasn't looked very good yet.
