So Arsenal just have to do this and win!
I have to recall Arsenal's disastrous start to the competition, when they had 0 points after 3 rounds and a 0:9 scoreline - horrible. Then the quality of Arsenal's playing squad finally started to show, which at least financially is very high even for the Premier League. In fact, Arsenal invested big money in reinforcements in the summer, so after that initial misery, the squad finally came together and started to do well.
After 18 rounds, i.e. a round before the halfway point of the competition, Arsenal is finally in 4th place. I think now the management and the fans are finally happy. However, out of the last 10 games, Arsenal have won 7 times - a score of 7-0-3 and that's not bad.
There was the 0:4 debacle at Liverpool, but that was a long time ago, then there were two more defeats: the second one at United 2:3, but the game was absolutely even and I dare say the lucky one won, and the third defeat at Everton? Arsenal played well there too - they took the lead through Martin Ødegaard's goal and held the lead until the 79th minute. Richarlison equalised and then Demarai Gray completed the turnaround with the winning goal in the 92nd minute.
Fortunately, Arsenal didn't let it get them down and since then they have won 3 times in a row - beating Southampton 3-0, WHU 2-0 and last time they beat Leeds 4-1 (away!). Arsenal were clearly the better team, outshooting their opponents 21-9 and 12-2 on shots on target. The young striker, only 20 years old Martinelli, took care of 2 of the 4 goals. The 21 year old midfielder Emile Smith also scored his 7th goal.
Now these guys go to the field of the last Norwich and they are a big favourite. Norwich are really bad this year and I don't give them much chance to save. Although 7 (and 6 rounds) ago they managed to win for the first time in the season and even 2 times in a row (Southampton, Brentford), however Arenal is now another level. Norwich have lost their last 3 games without scoring again - the aggregate score in their last 3 games is 0:6.
Arteta takes nothing but 3 points - with the form Arsenal have now, a win at last-place Norwich is simply a must.
Prediction:
Asian Handicap: Arsenal -1.0 @ 1.60 (bet365)
