Spanish coach Rafael Benítez has started his job on the Everton bench very well. His new team has lost only once in the opening seven rounds (4-2-1 - 13:8) and confirmed their good form with a 1-1 draw at Manchester United in their last game. As a result, the Toffees were just two points behind the leaders before the start of this round and their cup ambitions this year look very real. Much of the credit for this goes to Demarai Gray, who has already scored three league goals and one assist since his arrival. Last time it was him who successfully set up the action before the equaliser at Old Trafford and Everton fans are loving him.
West Ham, on the other hand, failed to win the London derby against newcomer Brentford and lost the second of their last three games. David Moyes complained after the game that his players were unable to convert a number of chances, but even so, they need not despair as they are only three points behind their actual opponent and the cup places are still within reach.
The bet on a minimum of three goals is also interesting considering the fact that only two goals have been scored in the last two meetings, but West Ham have been traditionally offensive in recent months, as evidenced by their 14:10 score this season.
Prediction:
Over 2.5 Goals @ 2.0 (bet365)
