After a good start, Everton got into a bit of a slump and out of their last 6 league games they have only beaten a weak Norwich, a decent draw with United and 4 losses. It can be seen that especially in the attacking phase they are missing key players Calvert Lewin and Richarlison, who is slowly returning from injury, but it will take time to get back to his previous form and condition. The cup ambitions of Rafael Benítez's players have taken a big punch and the Toffees need to pick themselves up as quickly as possible. But the next opponent is not ideal in this aspect - Everton managed to win only one of the previous 17 league matches with Tottenham, although the only victory was achieved last September.
The visitors lost 0-3 to Manchester United last weekend, which cost the job of coach Nuno Espírito Santo. Five wins and five losses after the first ten rounds is not an absolute flop, but the engagement of the experienced Antonio Conte, a Premier League winner with Chelsea, may prove to be the ideal solution. Conte knows the English league well and has not fared badly at all. In the first few months he has to rely on a "foreign" team, but even that is not bad. And his biggest driver, Harry Kane, who is struggling a bit this season, has great memories of Everton. He scored 11 goals in 12 league games against them.
My bet:
Draw No Bet: Tottenham @ 1.73
