Chelsea London's quest for the championship title may be starting again. Thomas Tuchel's players have won only three of their last seven league games, but in the last one they won 3-1 at Aston Villa. Compared to the previous two (Everton, Wolves), in which they only drew and scored a single goal, it is a significant difference. Chelsea are still plagued by a number of absentees and coach Tuchel called it unfair that, unlike other teams, the Blues have to play all the time (they have already played eight games in December). However, Romelu Lukaku came off the bench in the last round and scored and can be expected to start in the starting line-up this time. Brighton broke their long wait for a league win on Sunday and picked up three points for the first time since the second half of September (after 11 games) by beating Brentford 2-0. Sixteen goals scored, however, remains one of the worst performances in the league and in the past 11 rounds this team from the south coast has scored two goals in one encounter in only two occasions. The home side must close the six-point gap on the first-placed City and they will take advantage of this inability of the visitors to win by a higher difference.
Prediction:
Asian Handicap: Chelsea -1.5 @ 2.20 (bet365)
