Arsenal simply have the squad to top the Premier League and not the bottom of it. It's just that since that last defeat, or rather since that 0-5 explosion at Man City, Arsenal have finally have a win. Only 1-0 and "only" against Norwich, but they finally broke the curse and got the first three points in the table. Arsenal have been winning ever since. In the league, 3 wins in a row, the last one against Tottenham 3-1, another win in a friendly against Brentford 4-0 and a cup win against Wimbledon 3-0. In total, since that last loss, Arsenal have won 5 in a row with a 12-1 score.
I'll just remind you that Arsenal were buying in the summer. Norwegian midfielder Martin Ødegaard came from Real Madrid for 30 million pounds. Arsenal paid a similar price for a new signing in goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. He has also been invited to join the English national team. He came on for Arsenal after the crisis (I don't know why the coach didn't put him on in the first few rounds) and in a total of 5 games (including the friendly and the cup) he only conceded 1 goal, while his teammates scored 15. Arsenal also got other new signings - Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht, Brighton's Ben White (who has been playing since the Norwich game) and Benfica's Nuno Tavares.
So Arsenal have finally started to play and are rising in the table. They are now in 10th place with 9 points, just 4 points behind the second Manchester City! So the table is balanced, the league has only just started and Arsenal could well be in the top three in a few rounds.
Brighton are in 6th place in the table, and what's more, if they had won against Crystal Palace (FT: 1-1) in the last round, they would even be at the top! They have 13 points as well as second Man City. I don't want to believe that Brighton, who are more used to the bottom of the table, will hold that lead for long. It also has to be said that apart from Leicester, they haven't come up against anyone from the top yet. And even that Leicester I don't know if I should consider strong - after all, they're only 13th even 2 points behind Arsenal so far.
Apart from Leicester, Brighton beat Watford, Burnley and Brentford. They lost at home to Everton (0:2) and last time, they drew at Crystal Palace 1:1.
So I'll believe in Arsenal's resurrection and bet on them to win. However, the DNB safety is definitely in place here.
My prediction: Draw No Bet - Arsenal @ 1.72 (bet365)
