Players like Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol and I could go on and on, but the squad just isn't there anymore and never will be. Squad has to work with the players that are available. One positive I see though is the quality of the young boys from La Masia that Xavi is starting to build his team on as it was in the days of Pep and that is only good news. The expensive reinforcements over the last few years apart from Neymar have proved to be completely unnecessary and pointless and because of that Fc Barcelona are in the situation they are in. According to the latest reports, the club is expected to leave Dest who will probably head to Bayern. The transfers of Ter Stegen and De Jong are also questionable. This is not really pleasant news for the fans. So now a little bit about today's game.
Although club legend Xavi has only been in the coaching position at Barcelona for a short time, he is already going through his first crisis period. Under his leadership, the Catalan pride surprisingly lost to Betis (0:1) at home in the last league round and four days later lost to Bayern Munich (0:3). This resulted in their elimination from the Champions League at the group stage (3rd place), which is unprecedented for Barcelona in recent years. The fact is that Barca will definitely not play for the title. But they are still fighting for the Champions League. They are 6 points behind 4tf placed Atletico Madrid. Eleventh-placed Osasuna is only two points behind its famous rival after 16 rounds in the league table, and has won only once away game since the start of the season (1-3-2). Fortunately for Barcelona, Osasuna has not been doing well lately either. The home team has been waiting for a league win for seven rounds (0-4-3), during which they have scored only two goals. That's why I believe that Barcelona will make it three points in Pamplona, although it probably won't be a football concert this time either.
