Europa League - Qualification - Final
Slovan got Irish Shamrock in the 1st qualifying round of the CL and Slovan advanced, although they lost 2:1 away - but that was enough for them, as they won 2:0 at home. In the 2nd qualifying round of the CL, Slovan was knocked out by Young Boys Bern. First match Slovan played at home and it was a 0:0 draw and away Slovan lost 2:3. That 3:2 result for Bern is close, but Bern was already leading 3:0 in the match, but then they underrated the game a bit and got two quick goals (60´ and 62´). Slovan then played in the 3rd qualifying round of the EL and won 3-1 at Lincoln and then drew 1-1 at home. But now Slovan travels to Olympiakos for the first match of the 4th qualifying round and it will be a different challenge.
Olympiakos was knocked out of the 3rd qualifying round of the CL by Ludogorets after a 1-1 draw at home and another 2-2 draw away. It went to extra time and Olympiakos played with 10 men and made it to penalty shootout, but Ludogorets was the luckier team.
Olympiakos bought some more players for the new season - striker Onyekuru came from Monaco for 4.5 million EUR, there is also a new midfielder Malong from Mainz who came for 2 million EUR and great goalkeeper Vaclik from Sevilla came as a free player. On the other hand, another goalkeeper Sá left for Wolves for 8 million EUR.
If Olympiakos fails to qualify for the Champions League now, they will want to at least make it to the Europa League and to do that they need to knock out Slovan. Olympiakos should take the first step in this home game and I believe that Olympiakos will win first game.
My bet:
Olympiakos and over 1.5 goals @ 1.66 (local bookie)
