Nottingham Forest 22/23 season

After 23 years of non Premier League football, Nottingham Forest will kick-of the season tomorrow against Newcastle.

With big spending and addition of many new players - GK Henderson, Jesse Lingard both from MU, Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin, Orel Mangala from Stuttgart, Neco Williams from Liverpool or Moussa Niakhate from Mainz 05... how do you think Nottingham Forest will perform in their first Premier League season?

I'm quite sure this team won't relegate and if everything will go well through the season, I wouldn't be surprised with the final position around 10th place!

I agree that Forest won't relegate with this team, but also I don't think they will somehow impress... I think they will play in lower half of the table and secure the Premier League for another season.

Just look at the table, the Premier League is stacked af right now... beside the top 6 teams there are still Leicester, West Ham, Newcastle, Wolves, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa...

13-17 seem the best answer to me, maybe some drama fighting for not relegating in their first year.

It will be very interesting to watch them. But my prediction is disappointing - despite the excellent reinforcements, Forest are very likely to face the Fulham and QPR syndrome. A complete change in the squad, while also raising the class of players forces the coaching staff to pick up new schemes and combinations, and the players have to adapt to each other.

The verdict is that the club will put up a fight, but in all likelihood not enough to keep their place. 17-19th place.

Yeah guys good points... there are still many better squads than Forest and also these many changes could be a problem in the end...

When I think about it twice, it will be more relegation battle than dancing around 10th place.

(But I wish they will stay! This club just fits to EPL)

I actually think they will surprise and perform well, not just to keep from relegation, the players they bought really are top notch, if they can find a little organization as a squad i can see them ending up around the 10-12 spot in the league

They play good football, but they waste so many chances and let others score easy goals.

I don't think they will relegate, but they will need to improve a little.
