05.12.21 - 17:00 CET
FRANCE: Ligue 1
Coach Galtier once again confirmed his reputation as an excellent strategist and prepared his team well for the game at Princes Park, where the Eagles managed to take out a point for a scoreless draw. A good defensive play from the block could rely on goalkeeper Walter Benitez, who caught a couple of the opponent's chances. In the next rounds, Nice will face games against their table neighbours (Rennes, Lens), which will surely change the position in the top five in some way. Until then, Nice will face Strasbourg.
Strasbourg scored the "five" at home on Wednesday, beating Bordeaux 5:2. Ludovic Ajorque, who scored twice, was in great form again, joined by the trio of Thomasson, Gameiro and Lienard. Julien Stephan's charges are the second best team in the competition with their productivity (31 goals in 16 rounds), but they dominate their opponents especially at home.
It will be an even match in the south of France, which could be decided by a single goal. Strasbourg are not so keen on the finishing and are waiting for their chances after standard situations or possible counter-attacks. A draw in a "double chance" might not be a bad choice, as at least the first half could end in a draw in an even match.
My bet:
1st half result or match result - Draw @ 1.81
