Here is the game between Winnipeg Jets and Buffalo Sabres at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, where I believe the home team Winnipeg will win.
Winnipeg Jets: 9th in the Western Conference, 31 points with a score of 82:76
Buffalo Sabres: 13th in the Eastern Conference, 20 points with a score of 73:97
Last 4 Winnipeg games:
Winnipeg - Vancouver 4:3 (after shootout)
Seattle - Winnipeg 0:3
Winnipeg - Carolina 2:4
Winnipeg - Toronto 6:3
Winnipeg is in 9th place in the Western Conference and they really need points if they want to think about advancing to the Play Offs. Now they will welcome Buffalo team on their ice and I believe that Winnipeg players will be able to beat weakened Buffalo. Winnipeg has some good players in their ranks, when we look at the players who have scored 15 or more points this season, we see these players:
Defense: Pionk 16 points and Schmidt 16 points
Offense: Connor 32 points, Copp 20 points, Dubois 23 points, Ehlers 17 points, Scheifelle 17 points and Wheller 17 points (will not play due to injury)
We see a good offense here, with Winnipeg's goaltending also sorted out, with Comrie at 91.37% in 7 games and Hellebuyck at 91.74% in 21 games.
Last 4 Buffalo games:
Buffalo - Washington 2:3 (after shootout)
Buffalo - Rangers 1:2
Buffalo - Anaheim 0:2
Carolina - Buffalo 6:2
Buffalo is not having a good season this year, where they are better than last season, but it's still not right. They are now in 13th place in the Eastern Conference. They have only scored 5 goals in their last 4 games which is very little compared to Winnipeg who have scored 14 goals in their last 4 games, which is the difference. If we look at the players who have scored
15 or more points this season, the following players are in Buffalo:
Defense: Dahlin 15 points
Offense: Okposo 19 points, Olofsson 15 points, Skinner 16 points and Thompson 16 points
Buffalo also has good players here, but these players barely broke the 15-point mark compared to Winnipeg players. In addition, in goal, Buffalo has injured Andersson, Subban and especially No. 1 Tokarski, and now they have Delle at 87.18% in seven games and Luukonen at 93.75% in just three games. Here in the crease, Buffallo is having a tough time right now.
So in this game I believe in a win for the home team Winnipeg.
My prediction: Winnipeg Jets (in regular time) @ 1.58 (bet365)
