In this game, I picked a Chicago Blackhawks defenseman and bet on him to get a point.
Seth Jones has been a great scoring defenseman for many seasons, which he is proving right now in Chicago's very disappointing season. Jones managed to get a nice 13 points with 1 goal and 12 assists in 15 games played. His stats clearly speak of his high qualities when it comes to forward play. Seth plays on the first power play line and can be very annoying on the power play for years with his excellent shooting. He also plays on the first line alongside Chicago's best forwards and that's what helps him be so productive. Seth has incredible icetime in Chicago, when in the last few games it was always around 25 minutes, against Pittsburgh it was even a incredible 31 minutes! He averages 4 shots on goal per game and people often mistake him for a forward, as those stats are worthy of a forward.
Tonight Chicago plays at Seattle, which is right below Chicago in the Western Conference. Both teams have played 15 games and have almost the same number of points, with Chicago having 10 points and Seattle 9. However, Chicago has improved their performance in the last few games which has earned them 3 wins in a row and on the other hand Seattle has 4 losses in a row. Chicago is lagging behind this season especially on offense, scoring only 33 goals so far, which is an average of 2.2 goals per game, and that's from forwards who are really a misery in Chicago.
But I won't be playing on one team or the other to win today, but on the second highest scoring player in Chicago to score again today. Seth has scored 5 points in the last 5 games and I believe that goals will be falling in Seattle's net today and Seth will definitely be there for some of them!
