Vancouver is having a terrible season, but it was mostly due to the covid. The team was constantly quarantined and then in a furious pace of games, everything was made up, which really took a heavy toll on the Canucks.
But Vancouver got a good boost over the summer with the return of Pettersson, an elite center. In addition, players like Oliver Ekman-Larson and Connor Garland have arrived. There is a great hunger for hockey in Canada in general and Vancouver is expected to make the playoffs this year.
In their first game, they won away 5-4 after a shootout against Philadelphia, outshooting the home team.
Detroit, on the other hand, will be very weak again. The quality of the squad is simply one of the worst in the whole league. Not everything can be played on the enthusiasm of the youngsters.
Here I see it as a clean 2 also because both teams drew in the first game, so I think that now the draw will not come and a clean two at @ 2.25 on Vancouver, which is clearly qualitatively higher than the Red Wings, is a very nice odds.
My prediction: Vancouver Canucks (in regular time) @ 2.25
