Here is the game between New Jersey Devils and Florida Panthers at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey's home ice. Here in this game I believe in a win for the visiting team Florida.
New Jersey: 11th in the Eastern Conference, 12 points with a score of 26:30
Florida: 1st place in the Eastern Conference, 21 points with a score of 49:28
New Jersey's last 4 games:
San Jose - New Jersey 2:3 (after penalty shootout)
Los Angeles - New Jersey 3:2 (after overtime)
Anaheim - New Jersey 4:0
New Jersey - Columbus 3:4 (after penalty shootout)
New Jersey is in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, having won 5 of their last 10 games, but 3 of them in overtime. New Jersey is playing hockey that is good enough for the middle of the table, but now another big team is coming to their home turf, Florida, which is doing well this year.
When we look at the players who score the most points, the following players on the New Jersey team have 5 or more points:
Defense: Ryan Graves 5 points and Hamilton Dougie 6 points (injured)
Offense: Bratt Jesper 5 points, Hischier Nico 5 points, Johnsson Andreas 7 points, Mercer Dawson 5 points and Pavel Zacha 7 points.
Florida's last 4 games:
Rangers - Florida 4:3
Florida - Carolina 5:2
Florida - Washington 5:4 (after overtime)
Boston - Florida 3:2 (after penalty shootout)
Florida is doing very well this year, as they are in 1st place in the Eastern Conference with a 49:28 score, which is a nice result and you can see that Florida has the desire to score goals. Florida has only 2 losses in 12 games. Florida is being pushed from second place by Carolina who have three points less and this should be an alarm for Florida, in the form that weaker teams like New Jersey should be beating. Florida played a game tonight, but I don't take this as such a minus as NHL players are used to this and I don't think they are tired.
When we look at the players who scored 5 or more points, we see a Florida advantage here.
Offense: Barkov Alaksander 13 points, Bennet Sam 7 points (injured), Duclair Antony 12 points, Hornquist Patric 6 points, Huberdeau Jonathan 12 points, Lundell Anton 6 points, Marchment Mason 7 points, Reinhart Sam 10 points, Tippett Owen 6 points and Verhaeghe Carter 9 points.
Here you can see the great superiority of the Florida team and that's why I believe in a Florida win here.
My bet:
Florida Panthers (to decision) @ 1.68 (bet365)
