FRANCE: Ligue 1
The second to last round before the Christmas break starts with Friday's Round 18 match between Nantes and Racing Lens. The home team won last time out after a five-match losing streak when they scored their only chance against Lorient thanks to substitute Wylan Cyprien, who is on loan in Nantes from Parma. It would also be good to confirm the valuable three-point scalp at home, but they will not welcome an easy opponent.
Less than a week ago, Lens surprised PSG with good pressing and created a number of interesting chances, which ended up either on goalkeeper Navas or in one of the cases on the crossbar. Despite the aforementioned productivity, Franck Haise's charges could have taken the full number of points, but after Fofana's leading goal they retreated slightly, which resulted in the opponent's equalising goal, but even so, a point with the Parisian big club is very valuable.
Both teams have fast offensive players, so there should be no shortage of chances and some goals. The Canaries have an eight-point gap to the relegation zone, so they won't be playing under so much pressure and Lens will want to stay in the top five teams in the table for as long as possible. Both teams will score goals in an interesting game.
My bet:
Both Teams to Score @ 1.70 (bet365)
