I believe that visiting Colorado will win against home Montreal by 2 or more goals
Montreal surprised everyone last season when they reached the finals, but the new year started tragically for them. They lost their first 5 games and are still searching in vain for their form from last year. They have now played 23 games and have only 6 wins. They have 17 losses with a total score of 54:83. They are 14th in the Eastern Conference ahead of Islanders and Ottawa, but have 6/4 more games than their rivals from the bottom of the table. Although they beat Pittsburgh last game, they were clearly the worse team and their opponent posted 50 shots to 33.
Missing: Byron, Edmundson, Perreault, Price, Hoffman
After a slower start, Colorado is already ramping up to what we're used to with them. Mackinnon got injured, but it doesn't show in the game or the results. They are in 8th position with 23 points with a 73:56 score, but their competitors are all at least three games behind them and they are only 2 points behind 4th place. They have won 7 of their last 8 games in regulation time, always by at least 2-6 goals and have scored an incredible 40 goals!
Missing: Compher, Francouz, Matteau
Colorado is rolling like an avalanche on another opponent and this time it should be a struggling Montreal
My bet:
Colorado Avalanche in regular time @ 1.83 (bet365)
