Montreal surprised everyone last season when they reached the finals, but they certainly didn't envision the new year that way. They are looking for the form of last year and defeat after defeat is coming. They have now played 24 games and counts only 6 wins. They have 21 losses with an overall score of 61:96. Only Arizona is worse off in the entire NHL. They're still plagued by a massive injury list. Montreal has the worst defense in the league, conceding 3.6 goals per game.
Missing: Byron, Edmundson, Callagher, Niku, Price, Petry, Anderson, Toffoli, (Armia)
Chicago have played 25 games and scored 20 points with a 56-81 score. It's been a terrible start to the season for them. They didn't do well at all, plus the injury of Kane and a lot of losses. Kane is back and the wins are slowly starting to come. They have 8 wins out of their last 13 games, 5 of them in overtime, and that's mainly why I picked the decision win. Montreal is 0-3 in overtime.
Missing: Entwistle, Johnson, Murphy, (Jones), (McCabe)
Chicago has been good against Montreal for a long time. They should show game progression and beat a struggling Montreal at least until the decision, which will be missing a lot of important players again.
