NHL
Montreal Canadiens: 16th in the Eastern Conference, 0 points with a 3:15 score
Carolina Hurricanes: 9th in the Eastern Conference, 4 points with a 9-5 score
Montreal's last games:
Montreal - San Jose 0:5
Montreal - Rangers 1:3
Buffalo - Montreal 5:1
Toronto - Montreal 2:1
Here you can see that Montreal started the season very poorly, scoring only 3 goals in 4 games, all of which they lost, which is very bad. Last season they reached the Stanley Cup final where they lost to Tampa, but now they are not doing well.
Carolina's last games:
Nashville - Carolina 2:3
Carolina - Islanders 6:3
Carolina came into this season with two wins, scoring 9 goals and conceding 5 in two games. For Carolina on offense, Svechnikov already has 4 points in two games, Teravainen has 3 points. But that doesn't mean that the rest of Carolina's players aren't playing as a team, and Carolina has some very good players on the team who can pull. Niederreiter, Staal, Aho, Necas, Trocheck and defenseman Jaccob Slavin, all of whom were big names last season when the team lost to Tampa in the quarterfinals.
My bet:
Carolina Hurricanes (in regular time) @ 2.25 (bet365)
