Ligue 1
Monaco didn't look too bad last time at the Parc des Princes, but they suffered from not converting their chances and came away with a 0:2 defeat, conceding both goals from Kylian Mbappé. Eighth place after half of the competition is a clear disappointment for the "Princes", which is at least partially compensated by the promotion from first place in the Europa League or could potentially also be some further progression in the Coupe de France, where Monaco was in the final last season and now in the last 16 after a 2-0 win over third-tier team Red Star.
Stade Rennes, on the other hand, has had a better than expected first part of the season - third place after eighteen rounds. The last time they lost to Nice (1:2), but the previous wins against Paris or Lyon were really worth it. Bruno Genesio's charges added to that by advancing from first place in the Conference League straight to the 1/8-finals of the competition and also in the Cup over Lorient (1-0).
Matches between these two teams are usually very evenly matched, and this time we can expect no exception. The most interesting option seems to be a bet on both teams to score, as it has been the case in the last nine duels, then it is only a question of who will eventually break the match on their side.
My bet:
Both Teams to Score - Yes @ 1.80 (bet365)
