Manchester United vs. Liverpool

United signed several big names in the summer. Sancho (BVB) and Varane (Real Madrid) came to the club and above all Cristiano Ronaldo returned "home". However, they have failed to strengthen at defensive midfielder and I think a club like United should have better options like Fred or Matic at their disposal. We will not see Varane, who was injured while representing France, in today's derby. To make matters worse, OGS announced on Friday that Bruno Fernandes is also suffering from health problems.
Liverpool didn't really strengthen in the summer but honestly didn't need to. Stopper Konaté came to the club from Leipzig mainly because Liverpool saw last season, when VVD dropped out for almost a full year, that there was still room for improvement at the stopper position. Wijnaldum, on the other hand, left the club.

Both clubs played a Champions League match in the week (Liverpool on Tuesday, United on Wednesday). Liverpool travelled to Spain where they beat Atletico Madrid 2:3. United beat Atalanta 3-2 at home despite it being 0-2 at half time.

Both clubs have incredible quality at their disposal but the main difference here, in my opinion, is in the coaches of both clubs. Klopp has been at Anfield for a while now and the players are playing exactly what they are supposed to. Klopp has a system - Liverpool have a system.
On the other hand, there's Solskjaer... United are not quite having the season of their dreams and it could have been a lot worse if Ronaldo hadn't saved the win a few times. United's game looks like it's working kind of on random and everyone is kind of hoping that Ronaldo will assert himself.

I would say that both clubs are in a similar position when it comes to player quality. But Liverpool have a better coach, better form and better performances as a whole. The absence of Varane may also be key as I don't believe Maguire with his mixed performances can cope with Liverpool's attacking trio. If Bruno's absence is finally confirmed before the game, it will be really bad for United.

With or without Bruno in this game, I believe Liverpool will take 3 points from Old Trafford today.

I’m disgusted, I like Ole as a person and what I liked about him was I never doubted he love Manchester, unfortunately, he can’t squeeze more quality out of this squad… while we all know there definitely IS much more quality to show.

Also I’m disgusted to see Sir Alex seeing this happening at Old Trafford, that man loved bringing Liverpool down, always highest priority, now we are here

Good betting tip tough, I would never bet on Manchester United today. They will be happy if they advance in the UCL and Prem will be the fight for the 4th place if nothing changes in the near future.
