Rennes, after three wins in a row with a clean sheet, crashed at Troyes last week and took a point for a 2-2 draw. It was the first time in 7 competitive matches that Rennes had conceded at least twice in a game, which was certainly a nice streak for the team. Rennes also lead their Europa Conference League group by 3 points ahead of Tottenham, most recently taking on Slovenia's Moura here on Thursday, when stopper Loic Bade, a pre-season signing from Lens, decided the game with the only goal of the game. They will close the 13th round of the French Ligue 1 against Lyon at their stadium, where they have not lost a game since the end of February.
Lyon beat Lens 2-1 last round and especially in the second half, goalkeeper Lopes had to hold them back several times. Thursday's Europa League match at home against Sparta (3-0) confirmed their qualification to the next stage. Two goals were scored by injury returnee Islam Slimani, who is likely to start Sunday's match from the bench as a number of important players in the starting line-up get rest against Sparta.
Both teams have goal scorers in their squads, which will also be reflected in the result. The home side could strike from a standard situation, for example, which Bourigeaud plays well, while for Lyon, Karl Toko Ekambi, who has scored in 5 games in a row, will probably score. We will see goals on both sides of the pitch.
My prediction: Both Teams to Score @ 1.50 (bet365)
