The Parisians struggled a lot last weekend on the field of Racing Lens, they failed to convert their chances and almost paid for it with their second defeat of the season. The 1-1 draw was saved in the end by substitute Wijnaldum, who was set up by Kylian Mbappé's centre back in stoppage time. He then also directed, together with Messi, Tuesday's final performance in the Champions League group stage against Belgium's Brugge (4-1), where he scored two goals with one assist, followed by Messi with two goals.
In the showpiece game of the round, they take on hosts Monaco at Princes Park, who are on the rise after a run of points losses. After the win in Angers (1:3), Niko Kovac's squad also won three points against the second to last Metz (4:0), when the four offensive players Diop, Volland, Martins and Ben Yedder scored. Thursday's trip in the Europa League was just a duty for the "Princes", as the promotion from the first place in the group was secured by the previous win against Real Sociedad, with a 1-1 draw against Sturm Graz.
Monaco have occasionally been successful against Paris, most recently winning 2-0 at the Parc des Princes last season in February, with the reverse result in the French Cup final for Paris. The game could see a decent amount of goals this time around given how Paris are scoring at home, and it could be an interesting spectacle. My bet is on both teams to score combined with at least three goals in the match.
Prediction:
Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score - Yes @ 1.90 (bet365)
