The football weekend in the French Ligue 1 will close with the main draw of the round and the derby "Le Classique" between Marseille and PSG. The rivalry between these two teams is clearly the biggest in France and we could easily rank this derby as one of the biggest in the world.
Marseille enters the clash from 3rd place with a game to play, although they have won only one of their previous four league games. The last time was a 4-1 home win against the unpredictable Lorient 4-1, and on Thursday, a third draw in the Europa League, this time with Lazio Roma 0-0.
The Parisians will come to the Stade Velodrome in Marseille. Last week, they have an unconvincing 2-1 win over Angers on Friday and a great turnaround in the Champions League against Leipzig on Tuesday (3-2). Lionel Messi was the main player of Tuesday's Champions League match, as he turned the game around in the space of 7 minutes and could have completed his hat-trick in the end, but he gave the penalty to Mbappé, who missed it. There is a question mark over Neymar's start in France's biggest derby, as he injured his groin before Tuesday's game and it is unclear whether he will start this weekend. His place should be taken by Angel Di Maria, which is a fairly good replacement.
It will be a hard fought match, there will be a lot of yellow cards due to the huge rivalry between the two teams, but the quality of the players is higher on the side of PSG.
H2H:
Marseille 0:2 PSG
PSG 2:1 Marseille
Prediction:
Asian Handicap: PSG -1.0 @ 1.93 (bet365)
