Javier Pereira took over Levante less than two months ago, but since he didn't manage a single league win with Levante (0-3-4), the club management decided to recall him. They have already taken the same step once this season when they sacked Paco López at the beginning of October, but it didn't have the desired effect. Spanish media are now even speculating that Levante are considering offering López back the coaching seat. Whatever the outcome of the vacant coaching position at Levante, it is clear that the they need to start picking up points if they don't want to play down a tier next season. They're starting to miss the train. Levante, who are the only team in this season that hasn't won once (0-7-8), are already five points away from survival in the leaague before the round of 16.
Osasuna are better off - they are right in the middle of the league standings with 20 points and a 5-5-5 score - but the visitors have not been doing too well lately either. In the previous six rounds, Osasuna have taken just three points from the same number of draws (0-3-3). This gives the struggling home side some hope.
However, I prefer not to bet on the result in this duel. I'll put a bet on under. Levante have scored 13 in 15 games, Osasuna 15. More than two goals have been scored only once in their last seven meetings.
My bet:
Under 2.5 Goals @ 1.61 (bet365)
