Coronavirus-stricken Barcelona will be looking to get back on the winning streak tonight in Palma de Mallorca, where they will play a local club. The visiting team is currently in seventh place, two points behind fourth-placed Rayo Vallecano, while Mallorca is in 15th place, five points ahead of the relegation zone.
Mallorca won four games, drew eight and lost six. In total, Mallorca has accumulated 20 points. The hosts have lost all seven of their La Liga matches against Barcelona. The Catalans have lost only one in their last eight matches and are climbing up the table.
Xavi's team is not among the teams playing for the lead and winning the league this year. They are already an abysmal 18 points behind Real Madrid, but only two points behind fourth place and five points behind third place Real Betis. Barcelona, as I mentioned, have been struggling regarding Covid-19 so we'll see how they handle the match. On the other hand, they are unbeaten by Mallorca since May 2009!
Mallorca are also struggling with coronavirus and as a result Jordi Mboula, Matthew Hoppe, Salva Sevilla, Aleksandar Sedlar, Jaume Costa, Takefusa Kubo, Angel Rodriguez and Inigo Ruiz de Galarreta will not be able to play. Antonio Raillo will also be out, but that's due to an ankle problem.
Barcelona will miss players like Martin Braithwaite, Memphis Depay, Ansu Fati, Pedri and Sergi Roberto due to injury. Sergio Busquets will also miss the game as he is suspended. As mentioned, the club has problems regarding the coronavirus. For this reason, Dani Alves, Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet, Ousmane Dembele, Abde Ezzalzouli, Jordi Alba, Philippe Coutinho, Gavi, Sergino Dest and Alejandro Balde cannot play.
I have bet and predict no loss for Barcelona. I believe they will win, but the absences will make it very difficult. Maybe the Catalan club will win 1-0, but it could also end in a goalless 0-0 draw. On the other hand, Mallorca won't be at full strength either, which is why it's very important that the big club has more options and a wider squad.
Prediction:
Draw No Bet: FC Barcelona @ 1.50 (bet365)
