The reigning champions and the biggest aspirant for this season's La Liga title travel to Getafe in the first game of 2022, where I think they will confirm their role as favourites and win.
Real Madrid have no competition in the league this season. Outside of a stumble recently at home to Cadiz when it just wasn't favoured and was a classic dud match, Real won in Bilbao and are going through this season really smoothly. It makes no difference if they plays home or away. They are winning both there and there and quite convincingly. Their defensive side is working brilliantly and the attack led by Benzema, Vinicius etc is great too. Getafe had an extremely poor start to the season this year, but recently their performances have improved and the results have come. Now Getafe have clawed their way up from last place to 16th place, but are only 1 point ahead of the relegation second to last place. Getafe is still not at ease and will not be enough for a strong Real Madrid. They are on a long points streak in the league (5 games) and that has to end at some point too.
